Have you ever dreamed of spending the summer in an Italian country village?
Of course you have. Seeing the beautiful countryside, eating amazing food, exploring the markets, ruins, and history of the area, meeting amazing people, and relaxing and enjoying la dolce vita.
Here's how you actually can take an Italian sabbatical...
Airbnb is working with Wonder Grottole, a nonprofit focused on revitalizing tourism in the town of Grottole located in the Matera region of Italy. They are hiring four people to become ambassadors for the town, working with the locals, learning how to do things like make fresh pasta and other Italian dishes, and more.
The official description of the role from Airbnb:
"Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and become a temporary citizen of a village in the south of Italy. Immerse yourself in the local culture and discover how to speak, act and cook the Italian way. You will also get to support the local community by hosting an Airbnb Experience. Your goal? To help the local community revitalize the small village of Grottole."
