Who would have thought that Soviet era Russia would produce some of the most positively curious (and beautiful) playing cards that we have ever seen?
They were created in honor of Soviet linguist Yuriy Knorozov cracking the code to the Mayan glyphs, determining that they represented syllables and that they are not pictographs as was previously thought.
These images are some of the most interesting playing cards that we've ever seen!
While these cards aren't being produced any more, you can find them on Ebay for around $180.
