A new month has begun, and with it, the countdown for a new full Moon. In March we have the repetition of this lunar phase—the rare occurrence of two full moons in the same month—that closed with a blue moon.
April, meanwhile, will give us a new astronomical phenomenon known as the Pink Moon, and we tell you everything you need to know about it.
What is the pink moon?
No, the Moon will not be dyed pink by any means. The name takes the full Moon of the month of April, denominated thus by the Native Americans in honor of the Wild Phlox, some flowers that bloom at the same time in which the phenomenon occurs.
When is the Pink Moon?
This 2018, the Pink Moon will arrive on April 30 with the beautiful satellite at its best. Get ready to receive this phenomenon at the end of the month! And you can wear pink to be in tune with the occasion :P
