Sparkling water is often compared to soda because of its bubbly appearance and blistering sensation. Know, however, that the only similarity in both drinks is gas.
Sparkling water does not interfere with diet
Unlike soda, rich in sugar, sodium and empty calories, sparkling water does not compromise diet and has the same capacity and hydration potential as normal water. After all, the gas present in the drink is not responsible for weight gain.
Gas water is as healthy as natural, but it's richer in nutrients. Be aware of the amount of sodium displayed on the labels, which may vary according to the brand of the drink.
Sparkling water is calorie-free and therefore not fattening. Some people may experience discomfort and bloating because of the gas present in the drink, but the feeling is fleeting and does not result in actual weight gain.
Does sparkling water give you cellulite?
