Gina Rodriguez is ready to show the world her new romantic comedy for Netflix which is being written and directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson from the popular show "Sweet/Vicious."
"We worked so hard on it. It has a female director, female leads, female VP—pretty bad ass. I'm pumped," Rodriguez said about her feminist film to Elle.
The Latin actress also shared some advice one of her sisters gave her about her 20s.
“Don’t get married in your twenties. Date everyone, date every gender, just date like crazy and enjoy yourself,” Rodriguez shared. “It was definitely something that I paid attention to. Part of me is really happy I did that, but also happy that wild phase is done.”
The official synopsis reads: “Aspiring music journalist Jenny (Gina Rodriguez) has just landed her dream job at an iconic magazine and is about to move to San Francisco. Rather than do long distance, her boyfriend of nine years (Lakeith Stanfield) decides to call it quits. To nurse her broken heart, Jenny gathers up her two best friends, Erin (DeWanda Wise) and Blair (Brittany Snow), for one outrageous last adventure in New York City.”
