Here's more news about The Royal Wedding, yay! This time the news will enchant our stomach. Food is one of the important part at any wedding, and, considering that several guests are members of royalty, the Prince Harry's and Meghan Markle's wedding cake has to be luxurious and delicious!
Claire Ptak, the owner of the organic pastry Violet Cakes, is in charge of making the cake for the bride and groom. The royal family has also decided that it would be a good idea to show how this delicious process is going via its Youtube channel.
In an extremely relaxed video, the expert explained that she and her team of six bakers had to make three different types of cakes in only five days. In addition, she commented that the young couple explicitly requested that one of them be lemon-flavored. Claire immediately gave her approval because, in her own words, "it's a typical spring dessert" and ended smiling: "it tastes delicious or, at least, I hope so."
The Royal Cake Recipe
Later, the Kensington Palace decided to share the complete recipe and secrets of the cake on Instagram stories. These are the ingredients that the chef used to feed an entire party!:
- 200 lemons
- 500 organic eggs
- 4 lbs of butter
- 44 lbs of flour
- 44 lbs of sugar
- 10 bottles of elderflower juice
