Black Friday is just around the corner. You know what that means—midnight traffic, all-nighters, camping out, getting trampled, and shopping like cray!
If you're all about that lifestyle and want to score deals on this hectic shopping holiday, here are some rules to do it like a boss!
1. Have a game plan
You have exactly a bit over 10 months to save money and nab the best deals out there—meaning that huge 4K TV you never knew you needed. As Black Friday approaches, make sure all of your monthly bills are paid off so that you can use the remaining money for shopping. Also, Black Friday is a great time to get all of your holiday shopping done. Electronics are not the only good deals out there!
2. Don't party-hardy on Thanksgiving
Alright, you can either drink all night long on Thanksgiving or prepare for an intense day of shopping—your call! If you're #TeamBlackFriday, we suggest eating before heading out. Don't rush your dinner either. Quality time with family and friends always comes first.
3. Don't forget coupons!
Several weeks before Black Friday kicks off, stores are bombarding your emails and home mail with coupons. There's no reason to NOT take your coupons. You can easily score a deal on top of the deal.
4. Pee before you go
This is crucial! You're probably going to be making a line for a loooooong time—especially if you're going to the Michael Kors store at the mall. There's no time to catch a pee break; otherwise, you'll lose your spot. So no. Just no. Pee at home before you head out.
5. Leave your kids at home
As much as YOU LOVE TO SHOP WITH OUR KIDDIES, make the exception on Black Friday to shop alone or only with your squad. Black Friday shopping with kids can be extremely stressful. The malls are packed, rants can happen, and they might want to go home early. So, babysitter anyone?
6. Wear a fanny pack
Black Friday is no time to look cute or make a fashion statement. Leave your brand name bags at home and only take your essentials: money, credit cards, coupons, keys, and cellphone in a fanny pack.
7. Do not argue or fight!
Whatever you do, do not argue or fight with other people! Believe me, there are some crazy people out there! Keep your cool because you know what they say: "Better safe than sorry."
If all fails, there's always Cyber Monday. In fact, some people opt for staying at home during the long Thanksgiving weekend and saving their dollars to shop online. But no matter what, you're in it to win it...let the games begin!
