So it's Valentine's Day, but your sweetheart isn't necessarily a sweets person. You're desperately trying to figure out what you want to make them or give them and you're thinking "what else can I get for her/him that is not a heart-shaped box of chocolates?"
Cue heart-shaped pizza, the answer to all of life's Valentine's Day problems. As if pizza itself couldn't fix everything, imagine one shaped like a heart.
All you’ll need is pizza dough, pizza toppings, and sauce. You can choose to buy already-made pizza dough from the store, or you can make your own with this easy dough recipe.
In order to start making the pizza, you’ll have to have let your dough chill for a bit in the fridge. If you buy it store-bought, chances are it's already gone through this process, however, if you’re making it from scratch you’ll need to do this.
Knead the dough and roll it out with a rolling pin. Roll it into a circle at first (roll to your desired thickness), and then either cut a piece from the top of the circle in order to help shape the pizza into a heart, or just start shaping the dough into a heart by pinching and rounding it.
Now that you have your dough shaped into a heart, spread on your pizza sauce and place your toppings as well. It can be anything ranging from cheese, olives, peppers, pineapple, pepperoni, bacon, or anything else your heart desires.
Slide in the pizza and let it bake on 300-350 degrees Fahrenheit for 15-25 minutes. Make sure to check it periodically to make sure it’s not burning and it’s getting cooked enough.
Your creation is finished once it’s hot and bubbling, and the crust is golden brown and no longer doughy.
