Seven Things That Will Make Your Day Positively Great


Life can get overwhelming some days, and we need a little bit of help finding our balance and letting more happiness in. Follow these seven tips on how to attract more positive energy into your life, and radiate it everyday.

Start The Day With Good Intentions

When you start the day with positive thoughts, you are setting a path as to how the rest of the day will go. When you set a positive intention, you will attract positive energy to match it. An example of a positive intention is, "Today I am going to do the best that I can with every situation I am given, be kind, and be grateful."

Take A Deep Breath


When you are feeling overwhelmed or just want to relax, take a few moments to do some deep breathing. Sometimes it can be difficult to make our minds stop racing, or we may feel a little more emotional, sad, or anxious, and deep breathing can help ease this negativity. Breathe and unwind!

Write In Your Journal

Keep a journal by your nightstand or desk, - any where you feel comfortable writing in private and that's easy to access. Every morning or night, write down a few things you are grateful for. For example, "Today I am grateful for my friends, the sunshine, and my family." When you open your heart to gratitude and appreciation, you will see life in a whole new light. You can also write down all of the positive things that happened to you that day, and you can always revisit the journal and that wonderful collection of moments when you are feeling down and remind yourself of what made you happy before, and will bring more positivity into your life in the future.

Really Enjoy Your Food


When we have busy schedules, we tend to lean towards grabbing fast food or snacks that are easy to eat on the go, like candy bars and chips. Or instead of making dinner, we'll grab a frozen entree. In these instances we usually eat mindlessly. On the contrary, when you eat with intention, you are treating food as nutrients needed for your body, and you eat with gratitude. Enjoying food and expressing appreciation for it will make you feel happier and more satisfied.

Get Some Exercise

Exercise is a great way to counteract negative feelings, and it's great for your health! Find what make you happy—go for a swim, a run after work, or take a yoga class—just do what you really enjoy! What's more, there's no need to kill yourself exercising and trying to overdo it - even a quick walk can give you that endorphin boosts. Even if it's some light exercise, it will help boost your mood, make you feel more energized in the morning, and you will sleep better at night.

Talk To Yourself Like A Friend

Don't spend time comparing yourself to others, or thinking about the past or future. Think about the present moment, and savoring every bit of it. Appreciate who you are as a unique individual and show yourself love in mind, body, and spirit. Never put yourself down or beat yourself up about something. Instead, look at bad situations as a learning experience and gently talk yourself through a tough situation.

Do A Good Deed


Kindness really can go a long way, and it will make you feel happier to help someone else. It can be anything, small or large. Maybe give some money at your church service, or offer to buy a stranger (or friend's) coffee for the day. Maybe write a nice note to someone close to you. Good deeds like these will make you feel more fulfilled, and it's always a good idea to put some more positivity into the world.
