Shortly after Cardi B won the Grammy for "Best Rap Album," photographers spotted Lady Gaga and the rapper hugging and mingling backstage.

The young artist had a great night making history as the first solo woman to win best rap album and meeting her music idol.

Back in 2016, Cardi expressed her admiration for the pop star in social media revealing she's also a little monster.

"When I was a teenager Lady Gaga changed my life," she wrote. "She inspired me to be myself & be different."

Two years later, in April 2018, Gaga responded to Cardi's tweet and wrote, "Love you girl."

Last night both artists had a private convo at the show, scroll down to see the photos of the happy introduction.
