As a '90s kid, I must say that the best part of my childhood and teen years were being obsessed with The Backstreet Boys. I mean, what young kid didn't collect the posters, CDs, and every merch possible of their favorite boy band?
With bands such as *NSync, BSB, 5ive, 98 Degrees, New Kids on the Block, 112, Hanson, New Edition, BBMak, LFO, O-Town, and so on, the '90s were clearly a great era for boy bands. But as we got older so did they and next thing you know...most of these heartthrobs disbanded!
Lucky for us, and the newer generations, the boy band hype got its groove back in the mid-2000s with groups like One Direction and The Jonas Brothers. They disbanded too, but hey... we've just been blessed with In Real Life!
Brady Tutton, Chance Perez, Drew Ramos, Sergio Calderon, and Michael Conor, are the five boys behind In Real Life, a group that derived from the competition series Boy Band that aired last year on ABC.
After being voted by America and winning the competition, the boys have signed a deal with Hollywood Records of the Disney Music Group, dropped six singles, and released five music videos, giving the world a taste of their fresh and catchy music.
Their latest ~Spanglish~ single, How Badly, serves as a perfect example. "It came together really quickly and that's all we listened to for about a week," IRL said of their song to VIX. "We felt proud of it and we wanted other people to listen to it. We have a few Latin descents in the group that speak Spanish and we want to make sure that we use every element that we have in our band," the boys added.
Adding to their busy 2018, IRL will be joining the first half of the American Idol Live! in the Summer with dates from July 11 to August 10. Check out the tour dates below:
