Puerto Rico is suffering one of its biggest humanitarian crisis following the powerful Hurricane Maria that made landfall on the island as a Category 4 on Sept. 20. It's aftermath left the entire island without electricity and thousands of people displaced.
According to The Weather Channel, Maria "became the strongest Puerto Rico landfalling hurricane since before the Great Depression" in 1932.
The island is in total devastation, but first responders, volunteers, and celebrities from around the world are doing their best efforts to help Puerto Rico rebuild.
Enter singer Pitbull, who is making headlines for his kind gesture.
The 36-year-old Cuban-American artist sent his private plane to help cancer patients who are stuck in the island evacuate, according to E! News.
"Thanks to singer @pitbull for lending private plane to transfer cancer patients from Puerto Rico to the United States so that they can take their chemo," stated Jenniffer González Colon, congresswoman for Puerto Rico.

On the hand, Puerto Rican artists are heartbroken and have been using their platforms to shine a light on the situation back home.
