Who said you can only find bravery and strength in extreme sports, or in risking your life to fight crime?
Although not as obvious, one can also find bravery in the small and simple day-to-day tasks. It’s moments like these where we have to hold back our tears, take a deep breath, ignore what our heads say and pretend like everything is ok in order to move forward. In good times and bad, women are great atpersevering.
This is how we’ve been able to come this far and learn to conquer our fears.
To grow braver and stronger every day, we must feed our souls with the following habits…
Calm our minds
Us women aren’t just good at calming everyone else down, but we’re also good at calming ourselves. There are so many aspects of our lives that can make us feel uneasy and give us anxiety, but all we have to do is take a deep breath, work on our patience, and speak up when necessary.
Confront our fears head on
It’s not just about overcoming fears, but also, overcoming obstacles. Although it may not seem like it, in most cases, fear is a good sign. It means you’re taking risks and getting out of your “comfort zone.” All women know the courage it takes to get out of our comfort zones, but at least we know we are really trying.
Confront and challenge reality
Instead of deciding that something’s impossible and pushing it out of our minds, brave women ask themselves: what’s the worst that can happen? Instead of dramatizing a situation, we perceive reality with clarity and try to see what the worst case scenario would be if we did what we actually wanted to do.
Change it up
A common life goal is achievingstability, but once we’re there, we realize that it can quickly become monotonous. That’s why we like to accept new challenges, try new experiences, and get out of our routines as often as possible.
Be the black sheep
Audacious women have no problem being the black sheep. In fact, it’s something they like because it makes them feel different and powerful.
“Black sheep” aren’t willing to let anyone else decide what their reality is going to look like. They’re always searching for what they know will fill them with satisfaction, without caring what anyone else thinks.
Give the best of themselves (always)
Maybe her apartment isn’t the definition of organized, and she might not make her bed in the morning, but instead of always aiming to be perfect, strong women accept that they’re human and try to put more effort into more important aspects of their lives.
There are tons of other things that strong and brave women do every day to achieve their goals and grow as people. We’re still struggling to be seen as equal in society, which is why now, more than ever, we have to demonstrate that we are strong, powerful, and brave.
Let us never allow anyone to tell us otherwise!
