Taking pictures of babies with Down Syndrome was the way a photographer found to draw attention to the struggle of this community for equal rights and reinforce the importance of social inclusion.

Babies with Down Syndrome photo essay
There is a baby sleeping in a cup, in a flower balloon, and even Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Each photo has special details and is very cute, created with adapted scenarios that aim for the comfort and safety of the children.
The photog responsible for the images is Brazilian photographer Roni Sanches, a specialist in newborn pictures. According to the professional himself, as much as these types of pictures are part of his routine, these images were some of the most exciting for him, precisely because they represent love.
"Love is when we accept our child with all his or her glories and limitations, and for us, it is very nice to be able to see and register the union of the family to support and welcome the child—family is where love lives," he says.
