“For the Met Gala this year, we drew inspiration from the make-up that drag queen Divine wore in the iconic camp films of John Waters like Female Trouble, Pink Flamingos and Hairspray," her make up artist Nick Barose explained to VOGUE. "The eyes and eyebrows are accentuated with a cartoonish vibe, making the look more than just a cat eye with something fun and over-the-top. I’m not doing it for fashion tonight - I’m doing it for Divine and John Waters!”
