The end of a World Cup is the worst feeling ever for one and only one reason: having to wait four more years to live the experience. Does FIFA not know how this breaks our hearts and how many things can happen in four years?! But, the wait is finally over as the 2018 World Cup is just around the corner!
With soccer's biggest event in full swing, FIFA has teamed up with McDonald's once again to give lucky winners the ultimate World Cup experience. As they have done so for the past 16 years (that's four World Cups ago), the fast-food chain is giving thousands of kids around the world the opportunity to live a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the sports event.
Basically, they're giving five U.S. kids between the ages of 6 and 10 the chance to walk hand-in-hand with some of the world’s best soccer players as they take the field for a 2018 FIFA World Cup match.
Just imagine your son or daughter escorting Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to the field? That would look great on their resumé, TBH!
Participating is super easy. McDonald’s is asking participants to upload their own special celebration handshake by tagging @McDonalds on either Twitter or Instagram, using both #ViveTuJuego and #Sweepstakes, from March 2nd until the 16th.
According to a press release, McDonald’s will globally select 1408 children from over 50 countries to serve as Player Escorts during the month-long competition. Five of those lucky winners will be from the U.S. What are you waiting for to score that goal? Click here to participate.
