Buffalo Wild Wings

The colorful unicorn and rainbow trend are so 2017; in fact, the new trend of 2018 is undoubtedly glitter. With crazes such as glitter hair and glitter tongue in full swing, it's a no brainier that glitter food was also going to be a hype.

Cupcakes, cookies, coffee, and now, even your chicken wings, are being topped with sparkles! Seriously, Buffalo Wild Wings is now adding glitz and glam to their wings.

Throughout the month of February, the sports bar is offering #WingBling to its customers in celebration of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang County, South Korea.

The gold glitter can be sprinkled on your choice of boneless or traditional wings. All you need to do is ask for "bling with your wings" and you're set!

But just how safe is edible glitter? Here's what you need to know before putting glitter in your mouth.

"FDA is advising home and commercial bakers to avoid using glitter and dust products to decorate cakes and other food items unless the products are specifically manufactured to be edible," notes the FDA website. "Most edible glitters and dust also state 'edible' on the label. If the label simply says 'non-toxic' or 'for decorative purposes only' and does not include an ingredients list, the product should not be used directly on foods."

So, in a gist. Enjoy your wings, but be very careful with this trend!
