You know, I'm beginning to feel shortchanged by McDonald's. It seems like the latest and coolest menu items are all popping up in restaurants around the world, and we here in the States get nothing!
Okay, I'm being a little dramatic, but recently I learned about McDonald's in Japan releasing a Melon Soda float. The float is made with Melon-flavored Fanta, which happens to be neon green and really cool, and is topped with vanilla soft serve, making for the perfect IG friendly beverage.
Melon soda floats are very popular in Japan, and other fast food joints in the country have their own version of this drink.
Melon soda is really popular in Japan, after all, they have the tastiest, and most expensive, melons in the world. The Hokkaido cantaloupe once sold for $27,240, so the next logical step was for Japanese restaurants to offer a more affordable melon treat.
With all this talk of new menu items like Chicken Big Macs, Oreo Sunday cones, and now Melon Floats, popping up in McDonald's restaurants around the world, I'm feeling like I need to book a trip around the world. Anything for McDonald's.
