Hilary Duff recently announced on her social media and at D23 2019 that "Lizzie McGuire" would be returning to tv.

The reboot will include star Duff's onscreen parents – Hallie Todd (Jo McGuire) and Robert Carradine (Sam McGuire) – along with her TV brother Jake Thomas (Matt McGuire).

"We are standing in what will soon be the McGuire living room," the actress wrote on Instagram. "What’s up fam. We doin this"

A press release from Disney explains that "the new story picks up as Lizzie McGuire is just about to turn 30. She seemingly has it all – her dream job as an assistant to a fancy New York City decorator, her dream guy, and a picturesque Brooklyn apartment – but things aren’t always as they seem."

We can't wait to see what's next with Lizzie McGuire.
