If your cell phone storage is full and it keeps freezing, that is normal. Don’t worry, you do not need to get a new device.
One of the most common causes of “storage almost full” messages and freezing is excessive use of RAM memory, and there’s a very easy way to solve the problem on Android devices.
Step-by-step guide to clean your phone’s storage
Go to settings and roll the screen to the last item, until you find “About Phone”. Access it.
On "Phone Status", scroll again to find the last item. When you find “Build Number” touch it seven times in a row. The system will check the developer status.
Return to "Settings" and you will find “Developer Options” all the way down on the menu. Access it. Make sure the status bar is “On”. Then, click on “Running Services”.
On this screen, you will be able to see how much memory the system is using, how much the apps are consuming and how much free memory you have. If the memory is running low, click one or several apps that take up more space.
This screen will show up with any app you access. To free some of the space it is taking up, touch “Force Stop”. The system will automatically have more memory to use and the app will not be deleted, it just stops working at that moment while you are not using it.
On “Device Memory”, you will see the system uses more memory to operate, and that there is more free space.
