Not to be a party pooper, but who sends letters via mail nowadays? If you're still one of those old school peeps, then you're going to LOVE this.
The U.S. Postal Service will soon release new postage stamps that celebrate Latino culture in the most vibrant and delicious way. LI-TE-RA-LLY
The forthcoming 20-stamps book is called Delicioso Forever and highlights the influence of Central and South American, Mexican, and Caribbean foods on American cuisine.
Considering Latino foods are endless, it must've been a challenging task to select the most popular dishes. Somehow, artist John Parra under the direction of Antonio Alcala, managed to pick six famous ones in Latino culture: tamales, flan, sancocho, empanadas, chile relleno, and ceviche.
"I had the honor to create the artwork for the collection, with images celebrating the influence of Central and South American, Mexican and Caribbean food cuisine," Parra stated on his official website. "Each stamp showcases a bright and playful illustration of one of the following dishes: tamales, flan, sancocho, empanadas, chile relleno and ceviche."
The Delicioso Forever booklet will be available for $9.80 as of April 20, but you can already pre-order at the USPS store.
