If you made 2017 the year of the flat stomach, do I have some tips for you! Weight loss is something that is like, always on our minds, from learning about the newest boutique health terms, model hacks for a bigger booty to what food delivery services VS models are lusting over. I’ve sifted through all the hacks to find the ones I think you'll appreciate the most.
The bonus? These hacks are all really easy.
1. Get your vinyasa on.
Yoga has a ton of health benefits, both physically and emotionally. Aside from helping you melt away stress and feel more positive, it’s also great for helping to tone and tighten your body. One area where you’re sure to see results? Your core. Several practices will aim to really help you tone your tummy, especially when instructors tell you to hold a plank during sun salutations (ouch, but worth it!).
2. Lay off the sugar.
Sugar is a huge belly bloat culprit. Lay off the sugary juices, soda, snacks, and carbs like pasta and pizza. You’ll notice results right away just by doing this.
3. Eat more fiber.
Fiber helps to beat belly bloat by helping to flush out fat. In fact, Prevention magazine reports, “For every 10 grams of fiber you eat daily, your belly will carry almost 4% less fat.” Foods high in fiber include apples, beans, and broccoli.
4. Forget the soda.
Soda, because of its carbonation, can really make your tummy poke out with bloat. If you want a flat stomach stick to water or low-sugar juice that doesn’t have effervescence.
5. Drink more water.
Water is the best when it comes to trying to get a flat stomach because it helps in flushing out toxins and fat. If you don’t like the taste of plain water, squeeze in some lemon or use a diffuser with some fresh fruit cut up in the bottle.
6. Make time for cardio.
Cardio can really up your heart rate, which can help burn off fat. Try and run or walk for 30 minutes each day, and you’ll start to notice that fat just meeeellltinggg off.
7. Make room for peanut butter.
Peanut butter is a great addition to your diet when trying to get a flat tummy because it has fiber and protein, and keeps your digestive system healthy. All of this combined makes it a great fat-melting ingredient to add to your diet.
