In a perfect world, there would be grateful restaurant tippers as is a perfect example: Donnie Wahlberg.
The New Kids on the Block band member is making headlines after flaunting his selfless and thoughtful actions on Facebook.
While on tour in North Carolina, Mark Wahlberg's older brother stopped by a local Waffle House to grab something to grub. We're assuming that he was accompanied by the rest of the boys or he just REALLY likes waffles because his bill came out to $82.60.
Instead of leaving a $15 tip, the singer dropped a whopping $2,000—casual. Of course, this is such a celebrity move, but there's a beautiful reason behind the 47 year old's action.
"My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars-- for years!," he noted on Facebook. "So, when I walk into a #WaffleHouse, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens! Thanks to the team at @wafflehouseofficial Charlotte, NC!, he added."
Employees were extremely thankful, because not only did he leave a great tip, but he was also giving away free VIP concert tickets to their shows.
The whole experience was documented in an 11-minute Facebook Live also.
If this doesn't indicate that he's a sucker for Waffle House, then maybe these past posts do.
So, there's that. Thank you Donnie for being a hero without cape. #Blessed
