Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal made headlines following the 74th annual Golden Globes that aired Sunday, Jan. 8. Why? Because they gave some serious #bromance goals at the awards show.
Not only did the boys carpool to the star-studded event together, but they were totally each others dates. Yeah, this was cute AF, but truth be told, we've been obsessing over these two for the past 16 years.
And we don't mean to sound cliche, but the two Mexican actors and longtime friends literally "started from the bottom, now they're here."
Many know Luna and Bernal from back in the day when they starred together in Alfonso Cuaron's 2001 flick Y Tu Mama Tambien. The #BadHombres, however, have been in the industry since the early '90s when they had roles in the 1992 telenovela El Abuelo y Yo.
In fact, the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story actor and the Mozart in the Jungle actor, although very busy with their own projects, have had time to do awesome things together.
For instance, starring in comedies Rudo y Cursi (2008) and La Casa de mi Padre (2012) alongside Will Ferrell. In addition, Bernal starred in the 2014 film César Chávez , directed by Luna. They attend film festivals together, they have the panel thing down pat, and, as we saw at the 2017 Globes, attend red carpets together. Heck, they even co-founded a television and film production company in 2005 called Canana Films based in Mexico City.
Seriously peeps, is this not the best bromance ever?
