Companies are always looking for ways to improve business and services while at the same time finding new ways to generate more profit. This also plays into the apps developed for today's tech driven world. They do unconventional things that are in high demand. Mercedes-Benz has potentially found it's new lane in the app world with its new Croove application.
Our cars are an instrumental part of our lives, but the reality is that most of the time we only use them for a few hours a day. The rest of the time they are either just taking up parking spaces or collecting dust. Ride sharing services are one way to utilize your vehicle to make some extra dough, but carsharing with Croove lets you earn without having to drive.
The app lets users rent well-kept cars to fit their mobility needs minus the fixed rental locations. The app works simply by guiding the owner through steps that give vehicle details such as model, trim level, photos, availability, price, and location of handover. Once that part is complete and the info is uploaded to the platform, your vehicle is available to be rented by registered Croove users.
The app already launched in Munich early in December, so hopefully it will be spreading around the rest of the world soon after the pilot phase is completed. Some people might be reluctant about sharing their personal vehicle with strangers, but if you can get over that part, Croove seems like a pretty effortless way to let your car earn you some extra cash.
